Finished Box

After requests I'm showing the completed box.  Sorry this post will be longer than usual!
I had a really fab time joining in on WOYWW this week with loads of lovely comments.  Cant wait to see next weeks as it's the 1st birthday!  I do hope something will pop into my mind between now and then so I can join in too!
This is the inside of the box and these sides are mostly on show when opened.
The flower is an Anita's stamp that I embossed and filled the centre with seed beads all of the other dies throughout the box are by QuicKutz.
I especially love the butterflies and should try to use them much more!
Here is a fun character from Bugaboo, I was asked to include this on the box as the recipient has a great sense of humour!
This is a shot of the lowest layer using two beautiful images from Chris over at  Sketching Stamper and I love them, they are so elegant!
And here's a slightly wonky Mum!  Again it is QK dies on a nestie finished with some beautiful little pale blue crystals.

If anyone would like me to post them a template for making a box just leave me a comment, they are mega easy - promise!

Well there it is, I hope you like the finished article and Id just like to say a huge thanks to everyone who leaves me a comment, they really make my day!

Hope you all have a FAB weekend!

WOYWW 51

Good morning all you WOYWW'ers!!  Only 1 wk to go before the year celebrations and as I could have probably predicted, Ive nothing sorted so will be manically prepping something this coming week, well I do hope so!
If you fancy joining in the craziness and friendliness that is WOYWW pop over to Julia's and you can find out how to play!
Im finishing an exploding box for a lady's 60th.  Its been hard trying to cover 14 sides with images for a person I dont know but hopefully it will be fine!
The bluebell and ivory was really pretty to work with and the box itself is pearlescant sort of mother of pearl effect - it reflects a soft gold in some lights.  All I need to do is to adhere the three layers together and adorn and assemble the lid.
At the back on the left is the candy I won from the lovely Brenda for the Allsorts blog-hop.  It is gorgeous and it really cheered me up yesterday.
Ive also received a couple of stamps that I bought last week a lovely Lily of the Valley bridal Couple and a great collage image by Hampton Art from ebay.

Hope you have a really lovely day, thank you for calling in and I hope to see as many of the WOYWW'ers as I possibly can!

Paper Take Weekly - say it with flowers

Hello, better late than never!!  This isnt even the first time that Ive joined in this challenge on a Monday night!
Here is a fab image from Bugaboo Stamps and is so appropriate for all of us girls, surely?!?
The challenge is 'say it with flowers' so I hope you like my little blooms.
The dp is Pink Petticoat - elegance in Bluebell/ivory.
Im quite chuffed as Ive found out how I can add the text to the image, oh I know, little things......!!

I changed GP's today so had a booking in appointment with the nurse first, she's given me the blood request which I need to get done this week and going by the vast number of tests she's asked for on it, Im sure Im going to feel like Ive had a meeting with Dracula after it!!

Hope you are all having a lovely week.

Winter Wonderland

At last I have stopped thinking about making a **** card and actually done it!
I have joined in with
Winter Wonderland having followed them for a little while now!
My theory was if I see their challenges each week, there will come a time when I will actually do one too and for once, it's happened!
Come and join in too, you know you know it makes sense!!  lol!

Masculine blues!

Morning!  And it's a glorious one down here, hope it is where you are!

Here is a card that may be allowed onto the challenge this week over at Karen's Doodles!  They are asking for 'make it masculine'.  I could have used little Bigsby again and the only other option I had was this little chap so I coloured it in traditional 'blue for boys'!  Hopefully that will be ok!

WOYWW 50

Wey hey, Ive managed to join in this week having only been able to watch from the sideline for a few weeks.
Anyway here is a tidy space for a change, Ive just opened a parcel from Letraset which was my last 2 PM folders so Ive decanted them into them nicely and I got a little package from ebay which are a few little metal charms and a little clear fox stamp.
My scraps bags were overflowing so I got a nice black storage box to store them all and there are now much closer to hand so hopefully I will be able to use them up alot more than I have been doing!
I'm in between cards today so there's a little pile of preprinted images ready for the old PM treatment but first we are off into town to do some returning of stuff that I got on Monday!

Join in with the fun of mooching over everyone's crafting space and head over to Julia's where she will explain all you need to know!

Have a lovely day!

My first Lili of The Valley Challenge

Hello, Ive only just found the Lili of the Valley Challenge blog and I wanted to join in with this at it was a great sketch and it is open for 2 weeks!  Perfect for me as it gives me plenty of chance to join in!
This is the sketch but you will need to tilt your head so that your right ear touches your right shoulder!!  Whilst you practice that bit, I will load my card!

Et voila!
I first saw this image last year when my friend Jules sent me some printed images.  This little beauty was amongst them and I think it was love at first sight!  I just love this image as it reminds me of birthdays and Christmases with my daughters!  Each birthday and Christmas I would buy them a matching set of M&S bra & pants, you know what it's like, they loved them but didnt want to send that money on getting them so I did!
Ive only ever seen this image coloured in pastels so I wanted to see what it would look like in my favourite colours, black, white & red and Im happy with how it's turned out.
I followed the sketch in minute detail as the sentiment on the left is actually the 'Make a Wish' from the Clare Curd Signature Range bp!  That took a moment or three to position it properly!
Pop over and join in too!

The sun shone a little today but the temperature is definitely on the up so I have finally succumbed and removed my summer wear from the suitcase and it is now washed, dried and waiting to be ironed!

Playing Catch up!

Hello,  here is the final of the three animal pencil drawings I got from Teri over at Delicious Doodles well I say final I have seen a couple more that I am keen to get too!
Pop over to Sue's where you will see the fab card she has made using the great motorbike image as below!  Now that's what I call stylish!

In the near two weeks that I couldnt blog I was kept busy with cards so I have a few to show yet.  Some of these will be sent for charity so I will see if I can block those together to show.

Well, the forecast is definitely showing signs of improvement and I do hope it comes to fruition as it will be heaven if we can actually get a little warmth and some sunshine!!

Thanks for calling in!

Allsorts Challenges 1st Birthday Blog - hop!

Here's my little birthday card for Allsorts Challenge blog who are celebrating their 1st birthday this week.  Hop on over and join in the festivities with the blog hop, it's really good and all you need to do to enter is to make a birthday card!  Couldn't be simpler!
This card is made using an image swap I did last year and is 'Tilda with a birthday cake' coloued with PM's and Ive used papers by Pink Petticoat.  The strong red and blue are quite a combination but I am using up alot of my pre-coloured images and pre-printed digi papers.
Hope you've all had a lovely weekend!

Black & White

Morning!  Im back with another fab digi image from Teri Sherman.  The paper used is from Pink Petticoat, simply couldnt use anything else really!
Nice and simple!

Vintage Norton

Back again with the first male cards that I have made.  This is a new artist to me and it is Teri Sherman over at Delicious Doodles.  She makes some really beautiful digis, some in the similar pencil drawings as above along with 'cartoony' type of characters and images also of some beautiful plants and flowers.  Please do pop over and have a look; if you like digis, especially for those hard to find men in your life, you wont be disappointed!

IRL the ribbon colours are much better a match to the dp that on the photo.  The sketch is one from the last couple of weeks from one of the many blogs that I follow, which one, I give in!

Thank you for calling in

Pet painting

Hello, I'm back, hooray!
My pc had its new USB ports added today and despite frightening me by not immediately recognising the printer, it did eventually sort!

I just had to jump on here as I have been dying to show you my DH's first attempt at painting our two little rascals!
I hope you like it, I am amazed and totally tickled pink as he has really captured them, well I think he has!
Hope you like it!

Will be back very soon with some cards!

ETA: for some reason the image is a bit squished as it has loaded and I dont know how to rectify that, I hope it doesnt detract from the likeness.

MIA

Hello,  Ive been lucky enough to have suffered with pc probs for the past 10 days!*!  Its getting 4 new USB ports on Thursday and until then I can only look and not load any photos on the printer.  It has felt like losing a limb - yes it may sound quite drastic but it has certainly showed me how sane, my pc keeps me!!
The most frustrating thing was that last Tuesday I finally cleared and cleaned my desk and I was so looking forward to joining Julia with the fun on WOYWW.  Talk about having a heavy heart when I realised it would not happen!  Wont even manage it for tomorrow either as Steve is working an extra day so I have no 'wheels'.
I've been busy 'joining in' with lots of challenges and sadly cant share them but never mind, it's not the end of the world Keryn!!

Ive scoured through my photos and found one card that I haven't yet shared so here it is.  This set is from a great little 'Love' set from Funky Fairys.  I made the envelope also and used a little Nellie die cut.

Cant wait to be back to full action later in the week as Im really missing it.

Thank you for popping in and enjoy the rest of your week.

Jewell

By way of distraction for the below post I have added a little card I made using the leftovers from my Relaxing Ronnie card from a couple of days ago.  Why is it that these little cards seem to come together so much more easily than 'proper' cards!?!  Maybe because my brief is just to use up some papers so Im not fretting about getting everything right to fit into a challenge?  Who knows!
Let me introduce you to Jewell and she is a friday freebie from the very talented SJ over at Sj's Little Musings .  SJ draws some super little characters and she also draws little 'musings' of people to order, recently a married couple have been drawn and it makes such a unique gift!  Pop over and pay a visit!

Im sorry the pale yellow checked paper at the top seems to have been washed out a bit, maybe that's why I dont use yellow very often?!

Stella! Please dont look if you are offended by swearing!

Sorry, I did warn you!  This is for a retiring police woman with a wacky sense of humour and it is 'Stella' from one of my favourite digi sites Bugaboo Stamps.   I am collecting quite a few of these quirky images but none with another @*$# on them so that's ok!
I kept the rest of the card quite plain as the image and sentiments say it all but just to say that the great paper is from a 'new to me' site which I will go into more detail very soon; this post isn't appropriate.

I do hope Ive brought a wee smile to your faces with this mad card and I do apologise to anyone who is offended :/

Bigsby Cheers

Hello, Im entering this card into this weeks challenge over at Karens Doodles as this week it is 'Animal Magic'.  I really love this little character; he is so cheery so Ive decided to use him again.  I think he's perfect for guys cards too so Ive chosen papers by Funky Fairys - more for the men - and the usual suspects from my stash!

Ive made a couple of cards using a Bugaboo image of Stella with a spade in her hand.  The comment is quite funny but some may be offended, Im still deciding how I could get around it and post it as it would sure raise a smile for many!!

Thanks for calling in,

Keryn x

Ronnie Relaxing

Good morning!  Ive posted a card using a very special digi stamp.  Please pop over to Pollycraft Designs to see the story behind the image.  A fellow blogger, Emma,  suddenly lost her Dad last year in a nasty works accident and she is raising money for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance - a service that was used on the day in question - and for the small cost £1.50 you could own this fab image and help raise vital funds.  Please do pop over if you can as this is a limited edition and wont be available indefinitely.
Ive used papers from Funky Fairys 'more for men' and Im not used to using lots of patterns together so to me it looks slightly busy to say the least!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend doing lots of what you love to do!

Before I go Id like to wish Clare's husband - Martin - very good luck for his skydive today!

ps the heavens have just opened here on the South coast and I really feel for all of those brides who have spent months and months planning their big day!
