Baptism

Hello, here is what has taken so much of my time this week.  It is an easel card and Ive used Mo's beautiful baby attending church for the first time!  I knew she had this super image so when I got the order I headed straight off to buy it!  Ive used white sparkle card behind the image and the sentiment and its my first time for attaching a little charm with a few stitches onto the ribbon bow.
Its also a first for me to use little beads as the flower centre, tiny little clear and silver beads set in glue just to add a little hint of 'special' to it.
The bp is all Pink Petticoat with the usual suspects from my stash.
I made a box for it to go in as obviously it was too deep for an envelope.

Ive had a busy sewing time lately, I made new curtains for our newly decorated bedroom last week and today made myself a pair of trousers but there's still loads more to do!

Ive also been kept busy selling my SIL's M&S clothes that her hubby buys her and she's not that fussed on them!!  She gave me nearly 30 items (which apparently is only the tip of the iceberg!), most of those still had the tags on them! How mad is that??  Ive only managed to list 13 items so far and they are all active and keeping me very busy!

Thank you for visiting me

Notelets

Here is a little set of Thank Yous that I made for my SIL's birthday.  In her job she needs this sentiment alot so I thought I's make her a little set

I used PaperMania papers and used PC sentiments and nesties.  The big flower on the outer box is a great die from Quickkutz.

Its a hazy sunshine here today but I havent seen any forecast so I have no idea what is in store for us all!

Thanks for calling by!

Especially For You

Hello,
I am tied up with a particular order at the moment so am showing a card I made last week.  It is again using the Fred She Said image that I printed and coloured up a batch a while ago.  The bps are all Funky Fairys using a MS punch and some little flowers with my bargain bin find of turquoise gems!

My little Poppy is much much better now and Honey is well on the mend and due to finish her antibiotics soon.  Her appetite is back, she's a hoover but she is on a very bland diet and not enjoying it at all!  I tell you, the guilt you feel with a pet is just the same as the guilt you feel with a child!!

Im hoping the lovely mild weather lasts a little longer, but then I suppose that is being greedy!

Tiddly Inks 1st Challenge

Good morning!  I am entering this card into the very first Challenge over at Tiddly Inks .  This is a new find for me and is created by the very talented lady Christy; she creates the most beautiful digi's and her brand logo image is just so sweet, I covet it from afar!
This image is quite quirky modern and uncluttered, it called out to be made up initially into a Father's Day card but I can see it will be quite useful for lots of other occasions too.
I double mounted it and used 2 papers from Funky Fairys.
Please pop over to Tiddly Inks and see for yourselves, there are 2 blogs; one for the challenge and one for news and updates of new images.

Thank you for calling in and I hope you have a beautiful weekend!

Karens Doodles # 7

Morning all, isn't it lovely out there!  I wanted to join in at Karen's Doodles as this weeks challenge is 'Monochromatic'.  I looked at the DT's cards for inspiration and decided to go for an orange theme.  The DP is my first use of my Cosmo Cricket pad of Garden Variety as the colours went so well.  The sentiment is using Paula Pascuals stamp set from Personal Impressions.

As promised I said I would show some of my lovely crafty parcels that arrived last week!

This is what my friend Clare sent me and as you can see it contains a couple of treats for Poppy & Honey!!  Well that was a first, my girls have never received doggy treats through the post!  They are set aside waiting for them both to be well enough to eat them but I dont think it will be too long!
Isnt it great when you receive things that you just have never bought yourself and it's such a treat to try out new things.  New for me are the tiny card candy which are in the most delicious colours and I cant wait to have a play!  Ive used one of her images in my last card and cant wait to get going on some more, especially the House Mouse ones as Im not at all confident I can colour them good enough and look at the fresh green blooms I got also!  Im a very lucky girl!
Please pop over to visit Clare as she has one of the loveliest of blogs and she will give you all a very warm welcome!

Here is what also arrived from Annie as I won one of the challenges she was hosting for Just Cute Bears.  A pop along to Annie's blog is also an excellent idea, go on, you know you want to!

Thank you for dropping in, I hope to post another card or two later.

Hope you have a fab day whatever you are up to.

Meet Gerry our Giraffe

I promised I would show more of Steve's paintings and this is the first one.  This is in our landing which is African theme - well in art anyway!  He's also made a set of lovely African tribal ladies and I will post those soon also.

Isn't it great!

If anyone would like one just contact me, his painting is his relaxation so costs are reasonable.

PB

Hello!  Its so good to be back, Ive really missed crafting.  Poppy is much improved but we've been through it all again with her daughter Honey.  We had a mad dash to the vets yesterday morning finding her standing in a pool of blood.  It was such a scary moment but after staying with the vet for a few hours we managed to get her home and she is now on tablets.  As I type, she is curled up on her bed in the sun and life is good, so far!

Sorry to bore you all with my doggy stuff so onto cards.

During last week's trials and tribulations I was very fortunate to receive 2 crafting packages in the post, I cant tell you how they cheered me up!  I will share my photos later and explain but here is an image I received from my lovely friend Clare.  I gather it is Penny Black but I'm not sure of it's name but isnt it gorgeous!  Ive made an easel card for a change and used MME paper and distressed the brown card after stamping some Hero Arts flourishes.  I used a selection of buttons and punched some blooms.
I hope you like it!

Steve's still off at the moment and I dont know what plans he has for today yet so Im not sure when I will be back!

Thanks for calling in!

Tink!

Good morning!
All is well in this household now that we have Poppy home!  She stayed in for 2 days and I collected her yesterday afternoon complete with her bandaged leg, she soon chewed that off.  She didnt want any reminders of there at all!  She had a nasty large bowel infection and its great that she is now well!

Onto some cards.  Here is a fun card I made quite simply, as you can tell!  I just laughed my socks off when I first saw it so I just had to have it!  I think I will give this to my Brother for his anniversary as my SIL has a good sense of humour!!  They will love it!

The image is from Bugaboo and there are some really great fun images, I could buy them all!  Pop over if you need an instant giggle!  Id just like to say that the green things in her hair are rollers!  It took me ages to figure that out!  lol!

Here is a card I was asked to make by my DD1, she needed a special card for her chap's sister.  She gave me the image that she'd bought a few months ago but she wanted an easel card so this is what I came up with.  Seemingly the recipient is mad on Tinkerbell even though she is 27!  It was really difficult getting a colour match for the bp, hence there isnt too much of it!

Thank you for all of your kind wishes for Poppy, I really appreciate them, thank you!

My furry friends

Hello, I'm all out of sorts today, my little Poppy has been hospitalised after a very difficult few days.  She hasnt eaten properly since last Thursday and nothings passed her lips in over 48hrs yet her other end has been on overtime!?!  Im struggling trying to get everything clean, it has been awful but poor old Pops became dehydrated and is now being taken care of and full bloods done.  Her little girl Honey is having the time of her life!!  Cheeky monkey, she is revelling in having centre stage all to her self!

Its been a few days I dont want to repeat in this lifetime so there's no cards to show and to make matters worse, Ive run out of Duracell (for my camera!) and us girlies all know how awful that is!

I seem to have confused some followers but just to clarify I have 2 dogs Poppy and Honey and here they are:

Hope to catch up with you all as soon as I can.

Kick off your heels!

Hi, this card has taken me hours to make, no real reason why but it just did!  Ive used the gorgeous mule images from the amazing Chris.  I love this image and the matching clutch bag is just as beautiful!
I chose the teal/turquoise colours to make this card as I could just imagine the shoes in that colour satin.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Sassy Designs - shoes or boots
Stamp Something - stitch something

Well what a glorious day it has been here, I hope Scotland is also getting some of this fab weather!  I'd hate to be selfish with it!

I'm quite excited as I am just arranging a girly weekend away in June in Devon in our little caravan with my beautiful DD's!  I'd looked up hotel deals in London and other cities but it was working out so expensive and none of us could really manage those figures and then the penny dropped, why pay for accommodation when Ive got it sat on our driveway!
I can't wait!

Thank you for all of your lovely comments, I appreciate each one.

This is the Spring time version of Emma in her frills.  The present challenge over at Fred She Says is Spring-like and pastels.

I would also like to enter this into the following challenges:-

Quixotic Challenge - Full of the Joys of Spring
Kaboodle Doodles - Digi Girl
Incy Wincy - Fancy Folds
Pollycraft - Anything Goes

Thank you for looking but as this image is the same as my last I dont expect any comments!

I will be back tomorrow with a different image, see you then!

DU2DS Challenge

Back again and this time with a card for the DU2DS # 35.  The theme for this week's challenge is metal, I found this really hard as I didn't have any suitable charms and the only other thing I had that was metal was the gem holder for the flower centre.  It is tiny so you might have to click on it to see it!
The image is a super little girl from Fred She Said Store.  She is 'Emma with her frills on!  Their challenge this month is 'Very spring like and pastel' and as much as I have got the pastel, the card wont pass for 'springlike' so I will sort that next and make another.
I found an unopened pack of white embossed flowers so coloured it with the PM's Id used to colour her.  The gems were another little find of mine!

Happy Couple

Good morning ladies, isn't it beautiful to have such lovely sunshine!!  Yay, Spring has arrived!
I am up and running today as I have a card to share that I am entering into the Polka Doodle # 14 .  This challenge is 'Wedding Celebration' so for all of us with a wedding this year why not get your card made now and enter into this challenge also?  There are some super cards showing by the DT and obviously I love Claire's card but I also love the one made by Kerry, isn't it lovely what she has done with the roses?  I would have never thought of that!

My card uses the Stampendous stamps 'Happy Couple' and 'Mr & Mrs' along with papers from Paper Mania Clare Curds Signature range.
Ive used Quickutz sentiment & hearts dies being cut in silver mirri card, not black as one looks!

Hope you all enjoy your day whatever it brings.

Just Cute Bears # 11

Good morning, isn't it a lovely start to the day, it's so sunny!
Here is my first try at the Just Cute Bears Challenge.  I have followed Annie making her beautiful teddies for along while now and have long wanted to join in.  Annie chose the challenge for this week and it is 'yellow and green', couldn't you guess?!  These aren't colours that come naturally to me but I really enjoyed getting all of my yellow & green PM's out to have a play!
I need to mention that the pretty image is from MelJens Designs and was a freebie on PCP!
The sketch is a play on the PTW but I have another card to load later for that challenge.
Thanks for all of your lovely comments lately!

WOYWW

Back again, Ive been trying to avoid Wednesdays lately as my desk is such a mess but having gone over to Julia's and had a quick look at some of the other participants it felt rude not to join in.  So what if it is a mess (this is me trying to ok the thought that Im just about to show you all!), it isn't always such a mess - please note, it really is a mess, I was just very careful with the angle of the camera!
Im finding this is some kind of therapy for me, thanks Julia!
Im struggling to find a suitable storage idea for all of my acrylic stamps and my shoe box of them will stay on the desk until the issue is resolved - yup, out of shot, sorry!  If I move it away I know I will 'do it later' and then it will be xmas before I know it!

Im currently working on using up some of the paper piecing from my last card, I find it so wasteful if I don't try to make some extra cards using the scraps, even more so when digi paper piecing as the whole of the image prints out.

This is my view just behind me!  My little girls are still tired from the visit of the 'boys' on Sunday, they didnt stop all day!  If I leave the room, Poppy, at the front, will follow my every move, she is my shadow!  Honey meanwhile will stay as long as she can still hear me!  The picture above them was a fab bargain - it would have cost the same for a canvas that size so it made sense to buy it, especially as I could have it 'now'!

Enjoy your Wednesday, even if you're not going to show us your desk!

Sketchy Colours Challenge # 18

Hello,  here is a card I have made for the Sketchy Colours latest challenge.  It was a super sketch which I turned on it's side.  The image is one of a couple I bought last year (I think from Annie) & I haven't kept the details as to her name, sorry!  I've paper pieced her and distressed the papers with brushed corduroy whilst the accents and sentiment are  from my stash.
I would have entered this also into the Simon Says challenge and lo and behold, it finished last night!
However, with many thanks from my Challenge Guru Pinky, I can enter this into this weeks challenge over at Oh, Alice.  They are asking for monochrome and distressing.  Thank you so much Pinky :)

Here is my youngest DD with her furry 'nephew' taken on Sunday.  He is such a little sweetie and is now virtually at full size being 9mths whereas here is someone who is still growing..
here is a photo of the one of the rare moments when Murphy actually fell asleep and gave in!  His sleeps only lasted 3 minutes at a time, obviously they were power naps as he was just FULL of energy the whole day!  If you compare the photo on my sidebar, that was him 4mths ago!  It wont be long before he needs a sofa to himself and he is only 6mths!  He and Chester are bestest buds and they play non-stop, somehow never managing to tire him out though!
I have a photo of me holding Murphy but I look like I have had a bicycle pump connected somewhere and someone has madly pumped it up and up and up!  Needless to say, I cannot share that one as I can't even stomach looking at it myself!  Perhaps it's time for the Michelin Man to find himself a female replacement???  Send them this way....

Charming Award

Hello, I have been lucky enough to receive this lovely award from Twiglet.  Thank you so much Jo for thinking of me!  The translation, I am informed is 'this blog is charming' which is very sweet and having Tinkerbell on it too is pretty cool!  I do love Disney films!
Please pop over to visit Jo if you get a chance as she has some amazing crafty creations, my poppy being only one of them!
I am meant to pass it forward to 12 people but I am never too good as doing what I'm told so I would like to forward this pretty award onto (in alphabetical order!):

All of these ladies have very charming blogs so why not call in and see for yourself!

What a lovely sunny day it has been here, I hope it continues now until October!!   Not asking much there then Keryn!!  lol!

ETA Ladies please dont worry about linking back to me on your blog, I havent done it for that!  I just think your blogs ROCK!  x

Constellations PB Challenge # 95

Hello, I hope everyone is enjoying their long Easter break, the sun is out here and Ive got my fingers crossed that it stays dry for the dog walk this afternoon!
Here is a card I finished last night and Im not sure about it, it is a bit dark and moody I think.    Ive used my Penny Black Constellations stamp in Blazing Red stazon and used some digi papers Ive just got from 2 Peas in a Bucket.  Having just refilled the inks in my printer it was spitting out the papers already with slight distressing on them!!  So I had no choice but to go for the distressed look or waste all of the papers.  Ive stitched the backing papers but faux stitched the label as I wasnt organised enough to have not stuck the papers down already by the time I came to do the label - oh, it was late, honest!
I made a few flowers for the edge from punches and to go with a couple of punched leaves I tore some dp into leaf shapes to add a bit of interest and finished with a few buttons.
This is definitely one of those cards that is in the 'not sure' pile!
Ive just seen from my list that the PB challenge this week is 'check it out' therefore with the slimmest of margins - the tiniest of checked paper! - I am entering this into their challenge.

Enjoy the rest of your day!

Pearly Poppy

I was drooling over a lovely painting in a shop this week and this is what my DH painted for me, this is his version of it!  When he showed me my jaw nearly hit the floor as it is just gorgeous!  The photo doesnt show the texture but you can just about see that it is pearlised.  It is on a chocolate background and will be in our bedroom once it is decorated in a few weeks time.  I love paintings that you can feel even though Steve just doesn't 'get it' so for him to make me one just the way I like them, I am tickled pink!
You can see the artist peeping from behind it!
I think I should start to post a few of his paintings as they are throughout the house and I love them.

Happy Easter everyone, I hope you all enjoy a lovely time whatever you are doing.
Thanks for looking

Poppies galore!

Hello, I just wanted to show you some images of my favourite flower.  This little beauty is a creation by one of the fabulous Crafty Sisters and it arrived in the post yesterday.  It is just beautiful!
And it's even more beautiful the closer you get!  It is positioned just to the side of my monitor so I can see it easily and as many times as I wish!
I have no idea how it is made, all I know is that it is super!
Please pop over and check out their fab shop, the poppy picture on their front page is stunning!

Back in a moment with another Poppy!
