Grand Nesties query

Hi,

Does anyone know if some of the Grand nesties are nestable with each other?  Does the scallop square show some of the scallops if layered with the grand square die?

Id love to know but cant find the details on the Spellbinders site and need to know before I commit myself!

Thanks
Keryn x

ETA:  Thank You to both Claires for resolving this for me!
I now know I am safe to invest!
Thanks girls!  x

DT card

Morning!

Just wanted to share my card today for this weeks challenge over at Delicious Doodles where the theme is 'Make your own buttons'.

Sunglasses alert!!

This bright card was made using Teri's Tulips, I printed off 3 images and layered them onto a mat created with my new MS punches.  The buttons couldnt be easier with a lovely QuicKutz die.  I hope you like it despite its bright colour!

Why not come on over and join in with making your own buttons!

Thanks for looking,

Beautiful artwork

Hello,

Firstly sorry for my absence I am unwell at the moment, wont bore you though!
Ive been able to do a little mooching over blogs and have just come across this great artist who is needing some help to spread the word.
Tara is an artist living also on the South Coast and this is what she has on offer.

These are just beautiful to me, I think of her style as being a feminine version of the very popular Tim Holtz look with the emphasis being on feminine.  Well thats my opinion anyway, whats yours?
If you get a spare moment then why not pop over and have a peep.
For some unknown reason the link isnt working so here it is long hand

I hope to be back to my blog asap,

Xmas Gang 1

Hello,

Ready for a new challenge?  Well lets tie up our last one first!  There's a small number of us who want to make proper decent xmas cards this year for our own personal use.  Somehow when the time came we all found that we had been caught short so some of us have pledged that we will make at least 1 every fortnight.  We started with a sketch by the ever so lovely Crafty Chris and here is her card:

I know she has had some pc problems this week, as has Clare so Im not too sure at this stage if either of them will be able to join in for a few days.  However, the ever so busy Pinky has managed to play so hop on over and see her gorgeous xmas creation!  Another gangster is Claire so shortly we will be seeing her creation plus she is setting the next theme for us all so dont forget to check out what she has in store for us!

Here's my contribution:

Ive used my little Forever Friends sale bargain stamp along with some Papermania papers, a pc generated sentiment (that I dont like now!), a Marianne Poinsettia flower, the gorgeous circle die is a fab xmas pressie from Clare and it is from Nellie.  In fact the border punch by MS is also a sale bargain!

If you fancy getting in a few xmas cards with no 'set in stone' rules then why not join in, it will be great to see what you make too!

Im looking forward to Dancing on Ice tonight and wonder what nonsense Jason will spout!  I dont know how he stayed after the vile comments he has made in previous series' let alone last weeks feeble attack on Karen - a world champion skater!!

Enjoy whatever it is that you are doing!

DT card

Hello,

Oh what a miserable couple of days its been weatherwise, I do hope it brightens a little for the weekend!
No one can escape the fact that it is soon to be the day for LOVE!  Is it the day I get to eat a Cadburys Creme Egg?  Buy some new crafty stash, huh, if only eh?  Yep St Valentine's Day is but a few days away and that was the theme set for our challenge this week at Delicious Doodles.  Id already made loads of Valentine cards (but none yet for next year though but there's an idea!) so faced with this challenge I swerved the usual strong red and opted for a softer burgundy instead.

Ive used Mr & Mrs Owl along with some scraps of lovey dovey paper from Pink Petticoat.

I would like to enter this card into the last of the Valentine Challenges including:
Winter Wonderland
PTW
Incy Wincy Designs
Stampin' for the Weekend

Hope you have a super weekend and thanks for stopping in!

Hello,

Ive got an easel card to share with you today.  It feels like ages since I last made one, I was going into withdrawal!

This is Lola's Perfect Shoes and us girls can really relate to her cant we!?!

I went for a soft rose pink with black and white and used Lola's Boudoir papers to compliment the paper piecing I did on the image.  A few punched flowers adorn the gaps!

Lola is from Pink Petticoat for anyone that is unfamiliar.

One for the guys!

Morning crafters!

Here's a card Ive made for DD2 to give to her FIL.  I went through the whole of the Bugaboo Gus images with her but she felt the humour might not have been suitable so we settled on Jim from Digital Stamp Boutique.

Ive made 2 cards using this fab sketch as I found it the perfect sketch for an A5 card, it really suited the bigger size perfectly.  The other one is my last card below for the 1yr old.  Ive paper pieced his clothes and golf bag and Ive enough left over to make another 2 so thats always the good thing about paper piecing!  The pp are from Papermania's 'Its a Mans World' and the only bad thing about that pad is that there is only 1 sheet of everything!
Im entering this into the current challenge over at Crafts 4 Eternity
Thanks for your visit!

Hello,

Im back with a card for a 1 year old.  Ive used one of Di's gorgeous little teddies!  I drew '1' on the balloons then made a pc sentiment that I cut on a nestie label, the paper is tiny white hearts on rose pink by Pink Petticoat.

The sketch is by Crafts 4 Eternity which was great to follow.

The xmas gang reminder!

Hello,

Just a quick reminder to say that there is still a week to go for you to make a christmas card using Chris's sketch!
A few of us are committing to making a card for our own stash ready to go for this year as we all somehow ended up disappointed with what we sent out for our own personal use last christmas!

This is the sketch we are working to and we are all going to post our card next Sunday 13th Feb.  It would be lovely for you to join in too!
Here's a sneak of mine

Next time we are using a sketch and recipe by Claire so why not come and join us!

Bright Damask

Hello,
I had a request from DD1 for a 21st birthday and came up with this.

The damask is by Aimee Ascher and the dotty is Pink Petticoat and I teamed up black and white with fuchsia.  I used the lovely Tim Holtz flowers and leaf dies along with my new flourish by Sizzix.  This is really how I like my cards to be but Ive been exploring different styles for a while now, I think I may be still trying to find my true style!

This then inspired me to make this one using up the spare papers!

This is an A5 sized card whereas the above is a 6" square - my favourite!
I then tried my hand at another colour!

Id run out of the Aimee Ascher damask by now so used a sheet of Pink Petticoats damask instead.

Hope you all have a great day and thanks for your visit and comments!

A few more hearts!

Well I couldnt bore you to death with too many in one sitting so theres a couple more here.  I took inspiration from the Craft Stamper mag last month, Id been umming and ahhing about the Tim Holtz flourish die and seeing the magazine decided it!

This was made just using the negative, it was too good to dismiss!

A variation on a theme!

Thats it, no more hearts for a little while now!
Thanks for calling in.

Waiting for the Otter weather!

Hello!

Sorry about the title!  Just couldnt think of what to put!
I found a couple of Basic Grey pads that were just too much of a bargain to miss to I nabbed them - as you do!  I fancied a change so chose the papers before the image to see what I could do with them!

I chose Teri's Otters as Ive not used them for quite some time and for another change I didnt use the PM's.  I grabbed my watercolour pencils for this but didnt add the water.  A little length of raffia, a button and 3 little brads complete the look.

ps.  Im sorry theres no link but for some reason, unbeknownst to me, I cant!
