Box of Chocs

Hello,

I'd like to share a card that Ive made for my niece's birthday in November.  I'm trying to make all remaining necessary cards to the start of next year so I can then get my Xmas box out and begin properly!  Only 4 left to do!

Ive used a cute image from Lili of the Valley - pre coloured perfectly I might add!  The pink polka dot is from Forever Friends and I embossed a small off cut of DCWV card, finishing off with a matching button and silk and it's done.

I'd like to enter this into the following challenge

Sketch Saturday - super sketch this week

Post Pal Sophie R

Hello,

Just had to pop back and share my card that I posted yesterday for a very poorly little girl on the Isle of Wight.

If anyone could please post a card to raise a smile for her then please press on this link.  I think that lots of people wonder what on earth to write inside and all I can say to that is you dont have to write anything other than 'thinking of you from a Post Pal'.

The great image is from Bugaboo and the papers were freebies in a craft magazine.
Hope you enjoy your Sunday!

Christmas Flower

Morning!

I have another card to share using another digi image from Fred She Said; it is called Christmas Flower Doodledallions.  It is going to my MIL for Christmas so I made the pair (below card also) together so I'm ready!

I was going to leave it with just a plain white base card but felt it needed just something else - you know what I mean! - hence I added some gold mirri corners.  I hope I havent overdone it.

I would like to join in the challenge at

Sketchy Colours - white and green

Thanks for calling in and have a super weekend!

Right said Fred!

Ok, hands up, who remembers them from the early 90's?!  I sure do!
They sprung to mind when I found amongst my digis some gorgeous floral images from Fred She Said; some that would be perfect for a card for my elderly MIL as she loves flowers.

Here's my card:

I have infact virtually copied the sample card by making a wide border across the middle with the flowers and vine on.  I am on such strong medication that I have virtually no creativity at the moment but I am trying to make myself craft just to push on through it all.  I do hope Fred doesnt mind too much and it isnt for sale, its for me to use to send directly so hopefully that is ok.

I would like to enter this into this weeks challenge at

Hello,

There's no escaping the looming Halloween and as I'm trying to get myself slowly back into the card making challenges I've decided to play along.  I've made a card for my great nephew who is 6 and such a character! Last week when visiting his Nanny in hospital after her knee replacement surgery, he was at her bedside when a Dr came to have a look at her knee.  Jayden asked the Dr 'Did you do that to my Nan?', 'No, why?' replied the Dr, 'Coz I'm not happy, just look at it'!!  He is very forward and confident, something that definitely doesn't come from my side of the family but entertaining all the same!

The house image is a freebie from Spyder and the trick or treater is from Momma MC, thank you both for sharing these images with us :)

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Cards for Men Halloween
Stamping for the weekend Anything goes
Creative Moments Anything goes/Autumn (halloween is in the autumn)
Papertake Weekly Two by Two (Ive got 2 bats and 2 gravestones)

Monotone Charlie

Hello,

The weather is super here, it is really bright and clear and the temperature has dropped and I am loving it!  The chill is most definitely welcome from a woman of a certain age!

This card was made using the gorgeous image from Mo Manning and instead of the usual blacks I tried something different.

Mo is an amazing artist and Ive always really liked this one as it can cover so many different occasions, I like versatility!

I would like to enter this card in to the following challenges:

Allsorts Challenge - autumn colours
Handmade Harbour - men and boys
Crafty Sentiments Design - anything goes

Golfing addict

Hello,

I just love Bugaboo images, their humour really appeal to me and it was the first stop for me when I wanted to make a card for a certain person.  Meet Gus, he seems to get into all sorts of scrapes!

Ive used Papermania bp's and some Bazzill which I embossed and rubbed back a little to show the checked design.

Id like to enter this card into the following challenge:

Totally Papercrafts - use humour in your creation

Thanks for calling in, hope you have a super weekend!

Laura and Ed

Hello,

The last year has simply flown by, its so hard to believe that it wasnt just a few months ago that we were all in Santorini for  my daughters wedding!  Ive cheated a little and used a coloured image from Lilli of the Valley as I really wanted to try to bring in something other than Teddy Bo for my special cards and this one is simply such a gorgeous image.

Ive used papers from the Portobello Rd collection by Papermania that were significantly reduced.  I made a banner type sentiment and glued it so that it has a wave in it, like a flying flag.  Tiny tages by LotV were also toned down and applied using a gorgeous little red metal heart.
Here's a little reminder of their sunset wedding day.

Happy Anniversary to a very special couple, enjoy Venice!

DIY Bo

Hello,

Thank you for all of your lovely comments on my last post, I had completely forgotten just how special it was to open your Inbox and see comments waiting for me!  That was such a treat!

Today, Im sharing the card I made for hubby's birthday a few days ago.  I always seem to be drawn to Teddy Bo/Bea for family cards, they are just so lovely to me!  Steve is the DIY specialist here so this image had his name written all over it!  The papers are all from Pink Petticoat's Big Fella collection (which is greatly reduced to £2.99 if you're interested).

Hope you are enjoying your weekend and thanks for calling in!

A little bit of sparkle!

Hello,

It seems that the Summer has finally past and we are into Autumn; it is my favourite season of the year, I just love all of the colours and it gets cooler which, as someone of a certain age and hot flushes, I fully appreciate!

I have made a card to join in a couple of challenges, something that I havent done for a very long while now so here goes, let me see if I can still do it!

A new challenge has been created by the very talented Wendy from Handmade Harbour and it is called 'Midweek Papercraft Party'.  Ive joined in using one of Wendy's images (but you dont need to but she has a couple of free ones too)  called Shopaholic Girl.  Ive used up a scrap of patterned paper and a die, some stickles and a touch of bling.

Here are the challenges that I'd like to join:

Make it Sparkle - Papertake Weekly

Happy Days - Handmade Harbour

Thank you for your visit, I hope you have a good week,

Hello,

I have been busy behind the scenes just not been doing the necessary to blog but Ive been spurred on to pull my finger out!

I loved this sketch when I first saw it and after traipsing through the blog roll to find it a few times I figured I had better do something more than just look at it!  Here's the sketch:

and now to my version of it using Rugby Alf from Digistamp Boutique:

Oh, the image isnt very clear; Ive got a new camera and havent got as far as reading up how to download images so I cheated and used my iphone but Im not happy with it.  I'll change it shortly.

Id like to join in with the challenges over at

New Home map

Hello,

The rain has stopped and Im hoping that it stays that way as I am off wedding dress shopping with my eldest this afternoon.  There's nothing worse than having dripping brollies in a sweaty, stuffy changing room and it is likely to be a trying day, literally!

Here's the card I made for her sister to give her when she moved to her first place.  Id seen something similar on Pinterest and just loved it.

Have a happy week,

Some Knitting

Hello,

Thank you so much for your lovely comments, it was so nice even to know that I wasn't talking into the ether and great to be reminded of how lovely it is to receive a comment from fellow crafters!

Here is a throw and a cushion that I knitted in cotton for my eldest's study.  They've just moved into their first place together and the study is where she spends so much of her time marking and preparing lessons and she is a cold person so even in the summer she will be snuggled up with these!   It used a really simple 3 row pattern with no front or back and it was super easy to knit.  Im currently knitting more cushions for various birthday presents in all sorts of  colourways!
The weather here in the UK is so beautiful, I hope everyone is enjoying it as much as we are for we never know how long we've got it for!

Thanks for calling by,

One for the boyz

Hello - long time no see!

I am so rusty at doing this I am keeping my fingers crossed that it all goes to plan!
In my absent year I have mainly concentrated on other crafts and my youngest daughter got married last September too so it's been a busy year.  My eldest has just got engaged and is planning her wedding for next Easter so it's all go again!
I'd like to enter this into the monthly challenge at LoTV.
I hope to share some makes that Ive made over the coming weeks.
Thank you for your visit, if anyone does that is!
