Proud as Punch

Hello, just had to update you, I got a call last night from a very excited daughter as she had been offered a job following her 2 interviews last week.  After her 2nd interview she thought she'd not done very well and didn't expect to get the job so she was stunned last night when they rang her to ask if she would join them!
She will be working in a company that organises trips to Africa and Asia for school groups, gap year students and even families.  The trips, of varying lengths offer voluntary work in schools, orphanages, primate or marine conservation amongst other things and she is so very excited!  I can now rest as she is sorted and looking forward to her new journey.
Thank you to everyone who wished her well in my recent post, especially all of you who are connected to the schooling system yourselves.
I think I was just proud to have my daughter being a secondary school teacher especially as it was something that I just couldn't imagine her doing but this job is far more her and she will get the chance to travel with the groups also at times!

Oh I'd better stop now but Im tickled pink for her!  Well done my lovely!

I'd like to enter this card into Totally Papercrafts challenge #27 'Going to the Movies'.  My movie is Memoirs of a Geisha and I used the beautiful 'little girl in kimono' by Mo Manning, her link is on my sidebar.  Im really not good at colouring fur, anyone got any tips?!  Im also going to enter again into Allsorts Challenge of 'Dressing Up', Ive checked their site and there's nothing about only entering once, hopefully it will be ok!

Sorry for the long post!

Hi Keryn, Please say congrats from me. It's just so special to have wonderful offspring and be able to tell the world how proud of them you are. I have 3 and can honestly say the world is a better place for them being in it. Aren't we blessed? Give her a hug from me.

Congratulations to your daughter! It sounds like an interesting and exciting job. I love the film Memoirs of a Geisha and your card is just adorable. I have to say, colouring fur is easier with Copics as you can add very fine brush strokes.

Keryn, I am glad so much for your daughter has got a job she needed in. Believe, I have the same worrying here. My elder daughter has made her university graduated last month and she is looking for nice (wellpaid)))) job to make her career as a manager of organizations... She takes a few interviews weekly but still nothing. And I see she lost her heart already. I try to support her as I can... Well, it is the same everywhere I think))
I wish your daughter good luck at new place)))
hugs. Larisa. xxx

Wow Keryn! I am so excited to hear about your daughter's new job! That sounds fantastic! I suppose she will need to be tripping over there to visit all the places she is booking people into and experience it all. Sounds like a really fun job...something I have always been interested in - working with kids in orphanages, but always a bit afraid of...wanting to bring them home and being in a dangerous country etc. I am so happy that she has found something she is happy with. May her new journey be filled with joy!
