Steve's a Grandad!

Hello,

Yeah my hubby joined the ranks of 'Grandparent' on Friday when baby Michael was born!  They live a long way away from us so at this stage we aren't sure when he will be able to see him but there are lots of beautiful photographs to be seen.  As you may know Ive been busy with making lots for Michael and here is the shawl that is now finished, pressed and ready to go!

Here's a couple of the cards I've made for them:

This was a LotV image and scraps of offcuts.

I used an image and papers by Pink Petticoat here.

Im just about to make her an exploding box as this is what she has asked for.

Ive also made another set for the Fish n Chip babies as I needed a break from white wool!

I'd like to enter either of the baby cards in to the following challenges:

Bearly Mine  - Baby Days
Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes
Creative Inspirations - Anything Goes

Thanks for calling in!

Congrats on the safe arrival of baby Michael - same birthday as my daughter Maxine!! Your shawl is really gorgeous Keryn - must have taken hours to do but will be treasured I am sure. Love the little pink knittie too. Will email about the cover ups. x Jo

Congrats Keryn.

What fabulous makes for the new arrival, that shawl in particular is lovely. I can't knit, always much to my Mum's confusion as she always had some on the go, so I always admire the work of those who can.

Lots of muddy paw marks this week, I could wish this weather further. Might have to invest in six pairs of small wellies, or should that be twelve pairs , four a dog.

CONGRATULATIONS STEVE!!!!. Such a shame they live too far away that you can't see baby Michael in person. But a big congrats to Grandpa Steve!!!. Both cards are beautiful hun and that shawl, well you already know what I think of it, it's so beautiful. Can I just say also that all of the knitting for the Fish & Chip babies you are doing is amazing hun. I am in awe of you angel as you are so clever. I was thinking although I cannot knit maybe I can buy some wool to send down to you just to contribute in some way? let me know what you think. Talk later my friend. Big hugs Clare xxx

Congratulations to all concerned :D

Keryn you have surpassed yourself!!! That shawl is just too gorgeous for words!!! What a fabulous family heirloom. It almost inspires me to pick up my needles and knit for the first time in too many years!!! Stunning work.

Your cards are so sweet too - lovely keepsakes for such a happy occasion.

Looking forward to seeing your exploding box - as you know I have a serious thing for them (I think it might even be called an addiction - lol!!!).

Lastly well done on your "fish n chip" knits, totally admire all you ladies that have found the time to make these up. Maybe if I can find some spare time at somepoint soon I'll manage to make one, but won't be holding my breath on that one!!
