Cards for the boys!

Hello,  it's been quite nippy here today as I found out when I had to pop out to get a few essentials for tonight's Burns night meal.  Hubby is scottish so I always celebrate it with him, apparently he's never eaten so much haggis since he's met me!  Actually come to think of it, I do feel a bit like a haggis at the moment!  I've gained a bit too much weight since xmas but that will all be a thing of the past next week when we start our new 'lifestyle' (4 letter word omitted for the sensitive!)  The main thing is that he enjoyed his Burn's supper and his 'wee dram'!

Here is a card I made with my bargain stamp.  I got it online for a tiddly £1.99!  And it's perfect for the older male cards that I struggle so much with.  It is Personal Impressions and is from the Beryl Peters Collection.

I've used a Funky Hand paper which I think is just pefect for men.

Here is a card I made for my great nephew's birthday tomorrow.  I used a fab image by my friend Claire which I think is also great for those who love the Harry Potter stories and of course Halloween!

I hope I have done him enough justice!  It took me a couple of days of playing around to get a result that I was happy enough with, you know what it's like when some things just seem to scream out 'NO, NO, NO'!  Or maybe it's just me!  lol!

Thank you very much for calling in, I can't say how lovely it is to read all of the comments that you so kindly leave me.
I've got quite an anxious day tomorrow and maybe soon I will be able to discuss further but not right now.  I just hope I can sleep.

Keryn x

Great cards, Keryn. I love how you've really personalised the second one, I'm sure he'll love it. Cards for men are always so tricky! Thanks for your comment on my blog, it's not finished yet but we're nearly there. I love all the little buttons, she's done- feel free to grab my blog button if you want! I hope you're ok with what's worrying you and that you got a good night's sleep x

Oh wow, Keryn, I've just received your card!! It's so beautiful. I just love the colours and papers especially and that tree stamp is gorgeous. Is that an easel card? I've not made one of them but seeing your's has totally inspired me. Also love how you've curled the flowers too! Thank you so so much. I've got my second training session today and I'm a bit nervous so it's cheered me up no end x

Hi Keryn - Fab cards as always - great job with Winston. I had a lovely burns supper with some girl friends on Monday(we did refrain from the wee dram) but I made scones with clotted cream and jam to finnish with - so think I should definitely be joining you on that lifestyle change!!!!!! Please take care of yourself! Cheers Claire x

These are both great Keryn, and you are right, the FH paper is perfect. Funny, my cards talk to me as well, they often scream no no no too!!
